The vision of making regional hiking and nature experiences digitally accessible arose during a joint tour through the Bavarian Forest. Initial discussions with local hosts and trail maintenance teams laid the foundation.
After months of development, the first version went online. It included 15 handpicked routes in Lower Austria and a simple map view. The response from the first 200 testers was overwhelming.
Official collaborations with the Bavarian Forest National Park and Gesรคuse National Park opened up exclusive content and guided tours. The number of users rose to over 5,000 active members.
In response to the growing demand for eco-friendly travel, we integrated a guide section with tips on travel, accommodation, and behavior in nature. This page became the most-read section.
The German Tourism Association honored us for successfully combining digital innovation with regional nature education. The community grew to over 25,000 members.
With the expansion to Switzerland, South Tyrol, and Slovenia, we opened up new natural areas. The focus remained on handpicked, sustainable experiences and collaboration with local experts.
