Our Development

From the first idea to an established platform for nature experiences โ€“ the key milestones of our journey.

Founding of the Idea

The vision of making regional hiking and nature experiences digitally accessible arose during a joint tour through the Bavarian Forest. Initial discussions with local hosts and trail maintenance teams laid the foundation.

2018

Beta Launch of the Platform

After months of development, the first version went online. It included 15 handpicked routes in Lower Austria and a simple map view. The response from the first 200 testers was overwhelming.

2019

Partnership with National Parks

Official collaborations with the Bavarian Forest National Park and Gesรคuse National Park opened up exclusive content and guided tours. The number of users rose to over 5,000 active members.

2021

Introduction of the Sustainability Guide

In response to the growing demand for eco-friendly travel, we integrated a guide section with tips on travel, accommodation, and behavior in nature. This page became the most-read section.

2022

Award for Best Travel Platform

The German Tourism Association honored us for successfully combining digital innovation with regional nature education. The community grew to over 25,000 members.

2023

Expansion to International Alpine Regions

With the expansion to Switzerland, South Tyrol, and Slovenia, we opened up new natural areas. The focus remained on handpicked, sustainable experiences and collaboration with local experts.

Our Mission for Nature-Friendly Travel

We connect people with the untouched landscape of the Hunter Valley and focus on respectful tourism that preserves the region while making it accessible.

Regionally Rooted, Sustainably Thought

Our tours and excursions are based on close collaboration with local partners โ€“ from family-run accommodations to certified nature guides. Each route is planned to protect wildlife and plant life while offering authentic insights into the culture of the Hunter Valley.

Impact: Guests experience true regionality and leave a positive footprint.
Education Through Encounter

Every hike and stay includes knowledge modules on local flora, fauna, and the region's history. Our guides share their expertise directly on site โ€“ whether about reforestation of eucalyptus forests or the significance of traditional land use.

Impact: Visitors return home with a new understanding of nature and its conservation needs.
Community and Relaxation in Harmony

We create offerings that enable both active nature experiences and mindful moments of rest. Small groups, respectful behavior, and fostering encounters between guests and locals are central โ€“ without haste, but with genuine hospitality.

Impact: Relaxation that does not come at the expense of the environment but strengthens it.
Transparency and Responsibility

All our offerings disclose how they contribute to the region: COโ‚‚ compensation, waste prevention, support for local conservation projects. We avoid greenwashing and regularly report on our measures and progress.

Impact: Trust through clear communication and measurable contributions to nature conservation.
